On Saturday, May 18, 2013, Nerium International was ecstatic to co-sponsor the Time for Hope Gala at the Wilshire in Beverly Hills, CA. Mark and Tammy Smith, Nerium’s International Marketing Directors, were representing Nerium at the benefit. “Nerium International is all about that one thing: making people better. That is so in tune with what tonight is all about,” said Mark.
A sparkling red carpet event filled with music, hope, and a list of illustrious luminaries in music, politics, and business, the benefit was dedicated to honoring the humanitarian spirit of individuals who demonstrate extraordinary compassion and something Nerium truly believes in: the power of hope, the value of “loving, sharing and caring,” and the force of change.
Nerium International focuses on giving back at every level. That is why Nerium is so proud to be able to commit to a cause that deeply impacts so many lives and creates much needed change on a large scale. All proceeds from the benefit contribute to aiding impoverished communities, both internationally and here in America, through This Time Foundation and the Apl.de.Ap Foundation Intl.
The honorees recognized Saturday evening included: Allan Pineda, also known as Apl.de.Ap, recording artist with the Black Eyed Peas and Founder of the Apl.de.Ap Foundation; Fran Flanagan, President and CEO of Fran Flanagan Properties; Fritz Friedman, Senior Vice President of Sony Pictures; and Regina Manzana-Sawhney, a Senior Program Manager with Google.
Iron Chef Chairman Mark Dacascos and actress Tamlyn Tamika were co-hosts for the evening, and director and actor Lou Diamond Phillips and Grammy-winning artist and producer Tia Carrere were co-presenters. The star-studded evening also included a live auction, gourmet cuisine, and appearances from American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez. The live entertainment included special guest performances from members of the Black Eyed Peas and their musical guests, and Bruno Mars’ sisters, The Lylas.
The Nerium Ripple | Time for Hope Gala
At Nerium, the Ripple Effect and the power of giving back to our communities is a continuous cycle that influences positive change. That is why Nerium’s very own Mark and Tammy Smith represented Nerium at the Time for Hope Gala. They also had the opportunity to speak about the Nerium Ripple Effect at the event.
Mark Smith said, “Nerium is a unique company. It’s not just another skincare company. It’s a company that truly believes in people. It’s about individually taking responsibility and collectively changing the world. The Nerium Ripple is just the beginning of what Nerium is about. It’s about believing in people and investing in people. I just want to thank Nerium, the Olson family, and The Slight Edge philosophy. Everything that Nerium brings to the table is truly phenomenal.”
Nerium looks forward to creating positive change in the lives of everyone the company encounters! Here’s to a brighter tomorrow for us all!
