Ripple Effect Benefits At-Risk Youth and Families Worldwide

When a successful direct selling company makes philanthropy one of its most important initiatives, only great things can happen. Things that will impact the lives of the underserved and poverty-stricken children of the world.

Nerium International Chief Marketing Officer Amber Olson Rourke and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Olson launched the Nerium Ripple Foundation to support two valued philanthropic partners, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBS) and World Vision International (WVI). Since opening in 2011, the company has made this philanthropic mission a part of its daily corporate culture and encourages its network of Independent Brand Partners to support these noble endeavors.

Improving Conditions For Those in Need

Since its inception, the Nerium Ripple Foundation has raised more than $3 million on behalf of BBBS and WVI, helping at-risk youth through mentoring programs and improving conditions for families living in impoverished communities.

In 2016, the Nerium Ripple Foundation raised more than $1.2 million, and has set a new goal of $1.5 million for 2017. This heartfelt effort encourages Independent Brand Partners to become “Bigs” to “Littles” within the BBBS organization, mentoring at-risk youth to reach their full potential. In 2015, 28 Independent Brand Partners and executive volunteers from Nerium Mexico built water tanks as well as a children’s literacy room during a trip to Matlapa, San Luis Potosi. Such dedicated efforts emphasizes the company’s commitment to one of its core values of servant leadership.
